Kitchen lights problem

by aimv » Tue Mar 30, 2010 10:38 pm

Hi,

I would appreciate some help.

For last couple of days, in my kitchen half of the things stopped working (spot lights and dish washer). Other things ceiling lights, cooker etc works fine. Don't know what happened just found one evening while switching spot line on.

I have checked main fuse and also replaced fuse of those switches(13A SWITCH FUSE) incase they blew off.

Any advise on what else to check?

Thanks,
Aimv

Are the spotlights installed on the same circuit as the dishwasher?
This can be done by using a fused connection unit and down fusing off the circuit that runs the dishwasher.
If so I would check for loose connections at the socket where the dishwasher is plugged in to.

Yes both are in the same circuit.

I already checked and there wasn't any loose connection. I would check it again anyway.
