Laminated floor - laid without taking up skirting

by mjackman » Mon Aug 20, 2007 6:20 pm

Hi all

I have laid some laminate flooring in my hallway without taking up the skirting so i have a small gap around the edge which I need to cover up with edging trim, this is fine along the straight walls although i have some fairly intricate door-frame moldings to edge around....in my opinion this is going to look terrible if i attempt to follow the molding!

Does anyone have any suggestions for covering up the gap around door frames ie some kind of coloured filler?

Thanks
MJ

It would have been to wiser to cut the door frame and architrave and slotted the laminate underneath it.

I have seen a lot of people actually not really leave a gap around this section and they have been fine.
