We have recently purchased laminates for the house. They do however specify that WC should not be secured directly onto the laminate flooring. Does this mean that I have to cut-out a footprint of the WC with the necessary expansion gaps & would this be the same for the pedastal for the basin? If so, how would I go about doing so?
My other query is why is it necessary to lay the laminate to a 90° angle? I can understand that it might be for the light direction not to show the joints as much, but is this necessary because it is going to be layed over existing floorboards, which run parallel to the window?
What do I do then when I get to the radiator pipes and what laying method would be easier to re-lift the laminates should I need to gain access to the pipes?
