Lay garden path with Victorian tiles

by Gardengirl » Tue Feb 02, 2021 10:28 am

Hello, I’m planning on laying a garden path (6m2) and tile that with Victorian tiles. Do I need a concrete base or can I just pour a base consisting of only self levelling compound?
Thanks for your help!

Hi gardengirl
Depends how long you want it to last. Laying on self levelling compound will give a short life before the tiles start to move. concrete laid on rubble is a much better base.
