Good afternoon, I'm looking to fit engineered wood flooring directly onto ceramic floor tiles in my kitchen.
I was originally going to glue direct to the tile , but each tile has a slight dimpled effect (less that 3mm) across each tile.
I was then researching this item (Acoustalay /Elastilon adhesive foam underlay) to use as an alternative , but does not have moisture/damp proofing qualities.
My question: What is the best solution here , as ideally want to glue down but also need to lay a damp proof membrane as its a kitchen leading into conservatory.
Can i glue down wood flooring on a DPM that is laid over ceramic tiles, or lay a DPM and then overlay with Acoustalay /Elastilon and leave flooring floating?
Thanks in advance.
