Laying larger paving slabs

by deej » Wed Apr 08, 2020 9:27 pm

Having done all the prep work for laying two new paths I'm just about to order the paving slabs only to wonder how feasible will it be for me to lift and lay a 600x600 sandstone slab by myself. I'm laying onto a sand/cememt mix (damp not wet;).
Is my concern unnecessary or are there gadgets/devices I could hire/construct to make it less strenuous on my back?
Thanks

Hi deej,
I haven't found anything to make it easier. You are going to have to carry them anyway and will probably need to lift up on one edge to adjust the level.
Regards S.
