Laying lino on top of self adhesive tiles in kitchen Help, advice, information, answers and tips on all types of flooring from laminate and carpet to timber and vinyl

I have ordered lino for the kitchen and the fitters want me to remove the old vinyl self adhesive tiles before they come. Have tried a couple and can tell it is going to be hell to get rid of the sticky mess on the hardboard underneath. Can't the lino be layed on top of the tiles?? If not then does anybody know of an easy (ha, ha) method of removing the sticky gunk??
