help please,
I have just replaced the flushing mechanism but now have a new problem to fix!
how can i stop the drip of water that happens at the lower end of the flush pipe, where it connects to the toilet bowl?

Is it the flush cone which is leaking or do you have a leak at the the base of the cistern which is then running doen the flush pipe and just appears to be coming from the flush cone?
If its the former replace it and don't use those horrid finned plastic ones use a rubber one.
If its the latter check that the back nut is tightened up sufficiently from where you have just replaced the flush mechanism. You did use new washers didn't you?

Thanks for the help Roseberry, I have just doublechecked and the flush pipe remains dry, the drip is definitly coming from what I now know is called the flush cone.
i will have to wait till the shops open before getting a new cone.
Any tricks of the trade for fitting a new cone, it does not look like a "fit new washers and tighten firmly" job.

Put the cone on the end of the flush pipe and push it into the pan.
Simples.
