Leaking shower door

by Quinlad » Tue Jan 29, 2008 10:39 am

Hello.

We've put a glass shower door in but it leaks very badly from the bottom of the door, at the point where it hinges.

The guy who installed it did put in some kind of silicone (I think) but it hasn't made much difference. He also suggested that the bath is slanted in that direction anyway.

What should we do? Put some more in? Or use something else?

Any ideas?

Thanks!

Shower doors should have rubber seals fitted, If yours hasn't - could it be a manufacturing fault ?

'The bath slopes in that direction anyway' could the bath be levelled ? would this solve the problem ?

Their are some pretty poor bath screens out their, you basically get what you pay for. What type of screen is it. Trouble is where the door hinges their is no way of sealing this as obviously it needs to open close. Kudos do some good doors
