Light switch wiring help with 2 switches not working? Ask questions and find answers to many subjects relating to electrics and electrical work

Hello, I hope that someone can help me with a light switch problem. We’ve just bought a house built in 2000 and I’ve been replacing the light switches with something more modern. First 2 went ok, but the next 2 don’t work, even though I copied the connections exactly the same as the old light switches.

There is a single light switch which switches the lounge lights, which is wired like this (and doesn’t do anything now!)

Then there is a double light switch which also switches the lounge lights and the conservatory lights and that’s wired like this:

Nothing works at the moment so hopefully someone can help as the best I can get is the double switch working for both lights at once and the single switch is not working at all!
