Imagine that I have moved my bedroom light switch. Its old position was mounted in a metal back box and now it’s in a nice plastic dry line back box. A new 1 way switch has been perfectly wired up with live and neutral.
The earth wire was connected to the metal back box before but the new plastic one does not have this option nor does the switch.
What would you do with the earth wire?
