Looking to raise patio in height - whats the best method?

Post by mrbouncy1 » Sat May 24, 2014 8:51 am

General advice needed .

I would like to raise the height of my patio so that i dont have a step down from the house. same effect as having decking, although i know it cant be as flush to the house as decking would.

area to cover is 10m x 6m

whats the best way forward.

Dont want to have decking either .

cheers

you can have it the same height and no step, but you must fit a drainage channel against the house. www.aco.co.uk
To increase the height you will need to lay ballast (hardcore) first and compact it with a plate compactor, which you can hire. you can find examples on what to do on you tube
