Low pressure on boiler

by Rakster » Sat Aug 04, 2007 3:22 pm

Low pressure light on boiler. Have filled system by turner tap under boiler, but within minutes the pressure falls into the red again. Have also bled radiaters. Low pressure light remains on, and though pilot is on, the boiler won't fire up so no hot water and central heating won't switch on. Any advice on what else to try? Thanks.

hi rakster if boiler low pressure light is on the boiler will not fire up. if you lose pressure as fast as you describe you have a significant leak this could be in the system [rads pipes etc] or most likely in the boiler pressure vessel or the discharge over pressure valve this last one would be evident on the outside wall near boiler as water discharging when pressurizing all the best john
