Manrose MG100 fan not switching off Ask questions and find answers to many subjects relating to electrics and electrical work

Bought Manrose MG100 Gold fan for bathroom to replace old one. Old fan had 3 wires in red, blue and yellow. New fan only has connection for Live and Neutral. Fitted Red and Blue and tucked away yellow. Fan works but won't switch off. Read a number of posts but not finding clear guidance on how to fix and what to do with yellow.

Without having test equipment or being there all anyone can do is guess.
My guess is.

The Blue is neutral.
The Red is permanent live
The Yellow is switched live

With the mains off, swap the red and yellow. The red must be safely isolated. Switch the mains back on, the fan should operate with the lights.

Thank you tried that and now switches off and on with light switch. Thanks for quick reply.
