Hi

Does anyone know how to stain marine ply. I've been looking at the all-in-one stain/sealants such as ronseal's 5 year exterior woodstain.
I was wondering if such a water based product, for all its advantages would take sufficiently on a heavily impregnated board such as this.

The solvent based products concern me that they might weaken the laminate bonds leading to layers coming apart at a later date.
