mortar for breezeblock

i am filling in a doorway and need to know the mortar mix for lightweight thermalite blocks,
back of the cement pack i have say's mortar general use 1 to 5
mortar strong mix, 1 to 3, but i am laying large lightweight blocks
what mix should i use.

Assuming you are using a cement with additives (eg mastercrete) go for the 1:5 or even 1:6.

thanks stoneyboy,
wickes stock's Mastercrete Cement so i'll use that
