Mould in piano

by jon@serenitas.co.uk » Thu Sep 13, 2007 12:59 am

Hi, can anyone help with a case of a fine white mould which has infested the wooden struts inside the lower part of our upright piano. The felt doesn't seem infected and there are no spores on the outside of the piano. There are no signs of any other damp/mould spores in the vacinity except the outside casing of my wife's clarenet case! (This mould obviosly doesn't like music  ). It was the appearence of this that caused us to look in the piano.
I have searched the web in vain for a clear picture of white mould to compare the infection.
I would post a picture but I do not know how to insert it here.
Thanks for reading this - I hope you can help.
Cheers John
