moving meter boxes

i want to have the position of my meter box moved this will mean having longer tails and also rerouting them 1] is there a limit to there length 2]can they be routed between floor joists 3]can they go up through wall cavity to reach consumer unit

Hi max length of tails 4mtrs. To go further you must fit an isolator sw. within 4 mtrs of meter box & run a 'sub-main' to consumer unit, no limit on length then.
Running double insulated cable between joists should be OK as long as usual bldg regs routing adhered to, always did go in cavity but not advised now , your part P approved electrician will know local situation,
as you can't DIY this work,
