I am sure this subject has been covered many times but not quite close enough to my question.
I have recently bought a house with an outbuilding with planning permission for it to be a holiday let. The problem is that the roof covering past by planning is for artifical slate, and I would much prefer natural slate. The main reason for the artifical interlocking slate is that the back part of the roof has a pitch of only17degs. Is there a way of using natural plane slate at this pitch, maybe waterproofing the roof first but if so how.
Any help very much welcome!
