Need help converting a "knock-switch" to a toggle switch

by ali381 » Sat Jul 03, 2021 2:47 pm

Hi. I hope someone can point me in the right direction and I apologize in advance for not knowing the technical terms for the switch I'm referring to.

I have an LED lamp that turns on when you knock on the base (it also does that if you snap your fingers really close to it). My question is, can I remove the sensor and install a toggle switch instead? My next question is how to locate that sensor.

The lamp is located in a spot that makes it very inconvenient to reach and knock on every time I need it to turn on.

Any help or guidance would be greatly appreciated.
