New Boiler Install and Costs of Getting Condensate Pipe Installed

by Reggaj » Wed Jan 16, 2019 8:35 am

Hi guys my Combi Boiler is on the way out and gonna need a new one pretty soon, had British Gas round for a quote, I’m in second floor tenement and guy that quoted said I’d need scaffolding set up for waste condensate pipe and to seal off flue etc. Was quoting £4100 for a new worcester Bosch Greenstar 30i ErP.. boiler one out one in £1150, scaffolding £700 and other bits and bobs hive, flush, etc etc my question is can I get a boiler that isn’t a condensate one and therefor no need for the scaffolding to reduce costs. Is there any chance the condensation pipe could be piped to a kitchen sink waste or bathroom waste pipe. My boiler is in my loft & the condensation pipe was run down into a bathroom & into the bath waste. It was a lot easier & the pipe wasn't open to the weather as if it has to be run outside, it will have to be lagged & will look terrible.
