All our local joiners choose to fit doors constructed by a local carpenter who has had to diversify into joinery and shop/bar refitting as well as running a small DIY shop, where he makes high quality doors and patio-door sets, using superior mortice & tenon joints. Most over-the counter exterior grade doors use just dowel joints. Factor-in the unavailability of seasoned wood, and you really must go for the best you can find, and apply preservative as reccommended.
So go to a reputable joiner, and see examples of his work.
