No Hot Water in Shower After Burst Water Pipe Under Bathroom Floor

by iang14 » Mon Mar 05, 2018 9:35 pm

Hi there,

Last week I had a burst hot water pipe under the bathroom floor due to the recent cold weather. I had this repaired by a plumber at the weekend and hot water is now running normally to all the taps in the house.

However there now seems to be a problem with the hot water supply to the shower, as it gets no more than luke warm even on maximum temperature setting.

The hot water supply is from a combi-boiler and passes under the bathroom floor (where the pipe was repaired) to the sink, then to the bath taps and then to the shower. The hot water in the sink and bath is running as normal and there is no sign of any further leaks. Any suggestions as to any obvious causes to this before I call the plumber out again?

Many Thanks

Ian
