Help!
Just got the keys for our new (to us) house and found that we cannot get water out of the hot taps. All valves are on, cold water taps are fine, there is water in the header tanks but it won't come out of the hot taps.

Any ideas?

Hi,

I assume from that, that the water is in an immersion cylinder?

If so I would check that there isn't a valve somewhere that you haven't found.

I guess this as I assume that the water has been turned off while awaiting the new owner.

Check in the airing cupboard and also near the header tank.

Also check for screwdriver operated service valves, although not likely in the hot water side.
