No Hotwater from bath tap BUT fine in all other taps

by chrisgodridge » Tue Sep 02, 2008 11:35 am

Hi

I have a problem with no hotwater coming from the bath tap, just a drip. Hot water works fine in both the bathroom sink and the kitchen, both further from my boiler that the bath.

The bath fawceetes are separate but the tap is a mixer with shower swith. As you'd expect there is no hot water when using the shower either. I have recently removed 2 radiators in my house but this problem only surfaced over 2 weeks after doing this.

The hot water system is combi boiler - there is NO tank.

Does anyone have any idea what this might be?

Thanks

The logical conclusion is you have a faulty tap. You can rule out plumbing, as the that has worked fine in the past. Airlocks can also be discounted as you have a pressurised system. That only leaves one possibility.

Dismantle the tap and examine.
