Old Brickwork Repair and Painting Advice

by Eddie838 » Sun May 29, 2022 12:44 pm

Would appreciate any advice to seal over and paint a strip of bricks on an old building circa 100 years old and recommended products. Intend to use Sandex Microseal but any other advice appreciated. Please see the attached pictures.

Hi eddie838,
Clean the bricks and repoint the joints leaving the wall to breath otherwise you may create rising damp problems.
Establish where your DPC is - it will probably be a slate one - and check adjacent land levels are not too high.
