old ceiling rose has more wires than new light i am installi Ask questions and find answers to many subjects relating to electrics and electrical work

i am putting up a new ceiling light but on removing old rose i seem to have too many wires ie two blacks two reds & an earth new light only has 3 ie neutral live earth could you please advise what to do with the rest do i have to put them into a terminal block your help would be very much appreciated
