Hi BuergeUk1,
it is normal to have 3 sets of wires @ a light , the extra one could be to a second light in same room switched with first one or to wall lights etc, so more info helpful, as blakey says projects forum deals with normal loop in wiring but the main thing is to note the 1 or 2 wires going to your existing lights Live flex Brown this/these is/are switch lives to fitting and need marking as such with tape /sleeving (brown).
You will find 3/4 lives red or browns together which go to spare connector & do not connect to light in any way they are L in L out to next light, L to sw. if 4th connected there then it goes to power something else (fan, wall light ).
the black/blues are looped Neutrals, in out to next fitting & go to fitting N Blue .
the remaining Black/blue which should be marked with tape/sleeving as sw. Live to your fitting, have a look and come back with more info please , regards SPARX
