Options for internal insulation in bedroom

by Aznar » Wed Oct 26, 2022 10:26 am

Hi,

I am planning to internally insulate one bedroom (as a learning experience). I am thinking of something relatively thin... 3cm, maybe 4cm..
An easy choice would be to buy insulated plasterboards, but they are relatively expensive and I would waste 12.5mm on plasterboard.

Is it a totally crazy idea to install insulation boards directly on walls and then something on top to achieve smooth decorative surface? Something like cork or wall paper?

I would be very grateful for your suggestions.

Hi aznar,
Probably not worth messing with individual materials, use foam backed plasterboard, sticky foam, tape the joins and two screws, job done!
