Out of my depth - please help - recommendations for paint stripper that actually works !

Hi I decided to strip my front door as the paint was cracked etc ( Wood Art Deco 1930 era) however have failed miserably as the paint stripper didn’t cut it and I gave up on the heat gun as I did not want to potentially poison my family ! Have painted over again but it looks awful so I really need to give it another go ! There was about 5 layers of paint - the last couple were quite sticky , can anyone recommend a chemical stripper that actually works ? I am so annoyed that I have made my beautiful door so ugly with my failed diy attempt .

Hi dragonfly
I've always found Nitromors quod but do wear protective gear.
