Painting concrete

by hobbis » Sun Apr 10, 2011 9:46 am

I have a small gap between my house wall and the next door building, it doesn't get any sunlight until late in the afternoon, it is wide enough to walk down and I have a french door which opens onto it. I want to make it look nice by redoing the floor area, the problem is that the prevailing wind blowns all and sundry up this narrow alley and the choose a floor finish if difficult because it will need to be jet washed a couple of times a year. So I thought concrete it, and then paint it how do you think it would weather in these circumstances? I have used concrete paint indoors before but not outside.

Hi hobbis, if you want to concrete it why not put a colour in with it when you do it. Be more permanent than painting. It also won't come off when you powerwash it. Not sure of all the colours you can get but I'm sure there will be one that you like. Maybe worth a look.
