painting flakey plasterboard walls

by craig webber » Mon Aug 06, 2007 8:48 pm

Hi, I have recently moved into a 5 yr old house and I decided to strip the hallway and landing walllpaper and paint it instead, the problem is whilst stripping the wall paper it has removed the original paint (Emulsion) in droves and whilst the walls are not damaged there is patches of paint evreywhere, im unsure of my next step as I dont want to paint over this as i think it will look rough and crack... any feedback would be magic as im stuck in a rut........................

Hi, what resolve did you find for this? I have just scraped my hall and the exact same thing has happened, I was thinking fine filler or the rollable polyfiller but am a bit stuck!! :?
