Hi i was advised i correctly on a forum amd through ai that i could paint over an old sheeted vinyl floor using bin shellac as a primer and to then use concrete paint to bullet proof the floor from moisture etc.

I then asked ai again if this was correct method and they said no. Ive paid out over 100 quid om paint and painted a floor n a single coat to now be told o have to remove it.

What should i do? Please gibe me advice ive wasted time and money.

Hi squrrel8,
Since you have applied two coats of paint I suggest you apply the finish coat and see if it works - unless you have found this does not give a durable finish. The only workable longer term solution is to replace the vinyl floor with new.
