painting vinyl floor tiles

by gwyn » Fri May 11, 2012 11:15 am

During blocked pipe clearance, water with acid flooded my kitchen floor, which has vinyl tiles (like marley tiles). So the colour has come out of parts of the tiled floor, leaving it very blotchy.

I do not want to get the floor retiled, but Would prefer to paint the tiles. I am told that paint exists for painting vinyl floor tiles, bit I cannot find it in a local floor-tile shop or a paint shop or Homebase.

I live in London, and would like advice or hints on what to use and where to go to get it.

Thank you.
Gwyn

an epoxy resin paint would be your answer, but the cost, aggravation (with filling and prep) and then the possible undesired look of the finished product you would be better off going to your local store and picking up some self adhesive vinyl tiles for any easy diy job
