I am trying to replace my current British Gas thermostat WT1( without timer) to a British Gas WPT1 so I can set times for heating. Should be easy - NOT. The new thermostat is not communicating with the British Gas receiver BR2 at my boiler. The old thermostat still does but I cannot get the new one to work with the receiver.
Am I wasting my time - are the 2 devices not comaptible and if so which new receiver do I need to purchase?
