hi all,
I know its a well turned over problem, I have a 1900ish terraced house with solid brick walls, with damp on the joining walls both sides, and wood floors, i had installed a chemical damp proof barrier about 30 years ago, this failed within a year, or put it this way with completely new plaster and rendering and the course not covered it still showed damp within a year, they waffled about this and that, but basically they said it was not there fault.
I know both joining walls have also been treated from the other side in the following years, and the last treatment one of the houses the owner over treated to try and kill it, but to not a lot of success.
ok that's the history, my thoughts are to install an extractor fan under the floor to create more of an air flow, any thoughts
thanks voith
