Permanently Removing a Radiator

by JonSteve77 » Mon Feb 17, 2020 10:02 pm

Hello.

I’m a bit of a plumbing newbie. I’ve done a few basic bits with 15mm Cooper and compression fittings, but nothing complex!
Question is this- I’m removing a dividing wall in my house that has a rad on each side. One rad will be removed permanently and one relocated to an adjacent wall. I’m fairly happy with what I need to do pipework wise, however I have not soldered before and am a little nervous about installing compression joints under the floor boards! Is my paranoia justified? Are they suited to hot and cold pipes? I have installed them on accessible pipework with no problems.
I have a gravity fed system if that’s relevant?!
Thanks in advance
Jon
