Plasterboard in Bathroom has a Few Crumbling Holes Should I Repair or Replace?

Hi all,

Re-tiling bathroom. Removed tiles to reveal several crumbling sections of plasterboard. (See photo)

I want to re-tile with 12x18 inch tiles. Can I just repair the dry wall or should I look to replace that too?

Thanks.

If the surface is still sound, then a repair would be satisfactory.
