plasterboard jointing

one small question is the tape used for plasterboard joints self adesive (do i have to wet it) or use a adesive

bateman,
If you are using taper edge boards then use a jointing tape which is stuck in place using the filler. If they are square edge use self adhesive plastering scrim.

Hi Bateman

Use self adhesive scrim tape straight from the roll - couldn't be easier
Just position it centrally over the joints and smooth it down as you apply it

The non adhesive tape has to be stuck to the boards using either a jointing filler or plaster - more mess - more work - more hassle
