Plastering whole house

by whitehart » Thu Jun 16, 2011 7:07 pm

hi all, currently doing up a 3 bed terrace in staffs and wondering how i find a decent plasterer, have been quoted from 1800 plus materials to 8.5k!

the whole house including ceilings need doing and i want to be sure its done right, there doesn't seem to be any governing body for plasterers so is it a case of wait and see, could be too late by then.

the ones ive had all say slightly different things, do you put render on external walls and dry line the rest??

limelight for areas susceptible to damp??

how did you find yours?

with the quotes you have been given, ask to see their work,if they are any good and reputable they wont mind.
always go with recommendation, remember your spending a lot of money so do your groundwork,
