hi ,please can so one tell me do i need to fit a flange on top of my water cylinder if i want to take a feed for my new shower valve or do i only fit one off them if i am fitting a pump . :?:

Try it without - you can always add a flange at a later date.

Pumped or not you should have hot and cold supplies for the shower that sre independent of the rest of the DHW system.

You don't usually need a flange unless the header tank is low down. Usually, if it is the loft, you should be fine - with or without a pump.
