air in pipes so noisy when the toilet is flushed, haw do i get traped air out of the pipes?

hi nickyj is your toilet supply on the mains or roof fed ...on the mains there is not much chance of air entrapment the roof is different ! does this happen to bath / basin best john

it is suplide by the mains . no it only happens when we flush the toilet both upsters and downsters. The loo upsters started after a leak under the sink in the kitchen.

hi nicky im certain its not air more likely too high pressure you say you had a leak under sink maybe the stopcock was turned on after repair further than was normal for your house try turning stopcock off under sink and open it just enough to stop the noise if it does stop noise then check you have sufficient supply to the rest of house, seems odd that both wcs are problematic all the best john
