Following a complete refurb of the bathroom I have realised that the new monobloc tap on the wash basin may have been a mistake. We have a gravity sytem and the cold water storage tank is just above the ceiling in the bathroom so there's a head of about four or five feet. This I guess was fine in the 1930's when the house was built with "real" pipes and taps that had a good bore, but having looked at the "pin-hole" the water needs to get through in a monobloc, it's no surprise that the flow is really bad. So, what's the solution? Can I fit a shower type pump to feed the taps? Can you get them with one inlet and outlet or would I need to Tee the noramally twin circuits found on a shower pump? Any thoughts greatly appreciated.
