Porch Leadwork Joining to House

by florence44 » Mon Sep 16, 2013 11:16 pm

I have recently had a block porch built onto the front of my stone built rendered house, the leadwork from the house to the porch roof only seems to extend over the top slate of the porch by about 3inches (75mm?)but when it rained, the porch roof to where it joined the house leaked. How far down the porch slate roof should the leadwork extend? Owing to the restrictions of the site, the pitch of my porch roof is only about 22%.

the stone should be cut inline with the roof pitch of the porch and the lead flashing sealed to the house, with a visible upstand of lead, a minimum of 75mm all the way down the porch roof to the gutter
