Pollyfilla over Exposed Cable after having Sockets Installed?

Hello.
I am very new to DIY. We had some new sockets put in and I noticed the cable has been left exposed. Can I just cover it with pollyfilla and then paint over? See picture. It is a small hole but worries about damaging cable.

Yes pollyfilla is fine.
