Best Method for Painting old Bannister

by djjjuk » Wed Oct 07, 2015 10:58 pm

Hi,

I have an old bannister that I'd like to repaint.

I've attached some pics of it ... I'm hoping I can get away with washing it, putting on a coat or two of Zinnser 123, sanding then painting on a colour (probably white satinwood, not going for a gloss) ... or do I have to strip completely and start again ?

Thanks!

I would first clean them with sand paper and then ceramic paint will be best.
