Hi
The house is a solid brick wall, 1930s house.
We currently have scaffolding up on the back and side wall for work on the roof. We were planning on using the scaffolding to paint the walls, however it struck me. Is it worth using this time to get external insulation done? I'll attach an image.
Now of course in the long run (5 years) we are planning to extend the bottom of he house and the full side. The new parts of the house will of course be insulated to a standard.
This leaves the upper back of the house that will be permanently exposed.
Is it worth insulating this while the scaffolding up to provide a benefit to the master bedroom and toilet. Or leave it until we do extension work and just paint the walls?
I'm a pretty competent diyer and not too worried about attempting it. Just might need someone to do the final render.
I'm not having damp problems on my wall, but might get in a specialist to check.
