Bath Frame Issue with Gap Between Base Board and Bath

by j4cko » Sun Dec 13, 2015 5:01 pm

Hi, i'm wondering if you could point me in the right direction please.

I'm currently refitting our bathroom and have stripped out the old bath and have to new one ready to install. I've just gone to fit the galvanized legs to the bath, the tap end fits fine, but at the other end there is a gap of 10mm or so between the tube and the base board on the bath. The legs are pushed fully home into the plastic pieces that fix to the underside of the bath frame

Now, i'm thinking the two legs needs to be the same length so the panel fits correctly, so am i best off just packing the gap out with a bit of timber. Or am i missing something?

Thanks for the help

some thing is wrong, try swapping over the supports to see if that makes a difference or try tapping with a hammer as some times they fittings can be a bit tight. If at the end of the day you decide your method is best make sure you use the right length screws to fit a batten so you dont screw through bath.
