New to this forum - but already put plenty of the forums advice into action.
I have recently moved into a rendered 1900 victorian house. I have stripped the bedroom walls of lining paper and given them a thorough scrub down. The outward facing wall with windows has the odd hairline crack - generally nothing to be concerned with. Just below the left hand corner of a window cill extends a hairline crack - I have noticed after a weekend of driving rain and wind there is a slight dampening around the crack. After sponging down the walls the whole wall dried apart from this section.
Do you think this is caused by damaged rendering, or an unsealed window cill? What would be the best way to rectify this? I was planning on painting the wall rather than relining it as it is good condition.
