Hello all,

This is my first post on here, looks like a really useful website.

I was wondering if anyone could help as I have a problem wall, which is the party wall between me and an internal garage. I've taken some pictures, as you can see damp has damaged this wall really badly, I think this is partly down to the timber boarding which did cover it originally.

I've started doing DPC injection 2 courses above the finish floor level, but I just wonder what I should do with the brickwork? The long way (I'm guessing) is to support small sections with acros and rebuild, but I would prefer not to! I wonder if I can do anything less time consuming? Some of the wall is 'missing' from the external in by upto 4 inches...it's really bad!

Bit of an update, but I the problem part of the wall is about 9 feet wide. and probably 15 odd courses high, if that helps.

So far I'm thinking it just needs supporting, then re-build in small sections.

paint the wall with S.B.R solution, and render the wall with sand ,cement ,lime, mix, ratio 4:1:1. Use a comb as its called, to scratch the render, and apply another coat when its set.
Keep applying till the desired thickness is achieved.

That's really great advice, really appreciate it. I'm wondering if the wall is too far gone for repair, because when I was drilling for the DPC injection, the wall was just falling apart! I kind of stopped at about 3 holes, because I was worried the wall might just fall down (on me!).
